Army punishes Pakistan, Pounds and damages enemy border posts

Defence News: Showing the resolve to punish terrorist and enemies trying to undermine national security, Indian army fired artillery salvo blasting temporary bunkers and shelters on mountain sides. This was an active mission by the army to decimate militants who were getting ready to cross the border. Traditionally it’s the Pakistani army that starts reckless fire in order to sneak in terrorists. This time it’s a welcome change with Indian Army opening the guns up on worthless militants who cause much trouble.

“Punitive fire assaults are being undertaken across the line of control,” Army spokesperson Major General Ashok Narula said. he further said the Indian Army proactively dominated LOC, but added that it “wants peace and tranquillity in Jammu & Kashmir.” “Pakistani army has been providing full support to infiltrators by engaging Indian army posts,” he further added that they had damaged Pakistani posts in Naushera sector.

“Infiltration is likely to increase with melting of snow and opening of passes. Operations like Naugam where four terrorists were neutralised on 20-21 May are the instances. This calls for even more pro-active counter-terrorism operations,” Narula said, referring to a usual pattern of increased militant activity in summer.

This is seen as an escalation in the war of words between India and Pakistan on the recent beheading of two Indian soldiers by the Pakistani Army. Earlier, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat had hinted at retaliatory action against Pakistan. The Indian Army claimed evidence of Pakistan Army’s involvement in the mutilation of two Indian Army soldiers.

Since a militant “burhan wani” met his rightful death last July, Pakistani supported fanatics have intensified violence in the valley and the soft attitude of the govt. has not yielded the right results. More than 100 civilians have been killed but the separatists are estimated at around a few hundred. It’s time the Govt. came down on them with an iron fist. let’s see how far the Honorable prime minister takes the fight, if one thing is clear, its the fact that Pakistan needs far lot of punishment to get it’s act together.
